Cookies Policy
How Global IT Certification & Accreditation Institute uses cookies and similar technologies. Last updated October 2026.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session tokens used by web applications. They help sites remember preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how pages are used.
2. How GITCAI uses cookies
We use cookies primarily for essential site and portal operation:
- Session / authentication — keep you logged into professional, business, partner, panel, or admin portals
- Security — CSRF protection and related safeguards against unauthorized requests
- Preferences — remember choices needed for a working experience (for example flash messages after form submit)
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies to track you across unrelated sites.
3. Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for login, security, and core navigation | Session cookie, XSRF token |
| Functional | Improve usability where enabled | Remember UI state or notice dismissal |
| Analytics (if enabled) | Understand aggregate traffic and page performance | First-party or privacy-respecting analytics tools, if added later |
If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent before setting them.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or alert on new cookies). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login and portal features from working. Browser help pages explain how to manage cookies for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, and others.
5. Related policies
Personal data processed alongside cookies is described in our Privacy Policy. Use of the site is also subject to our Terms & Conditions.
